Hyderabad: South star and Bollywood actress Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly sustained a severe hip injury during a movie shoot. According to industry reports, the actress suffered a complete hip tendon detachment after a bad fall while executing a physically demanding dance and action sequence.
The tragic accident occurred on the sets of her upcoming project, reportedly either Ranabaali or Mysaa. Filming was halted immediately following the incident, and crew members rushed the actress to a nearby hospital for emergency medical attention.
Rare Injury for Actors, Say Doctors
Following a comprehensive medical examination, doctors revealed that a complete tendon detachment is an extremely rare injury among actors.
Medical experts noted that severe tendon damage of this nature is typically seen in professional athletes undergoing rigorous, high-impact training. The extent of the injury left the medical team surprised, given the unusual nature of the trauma for an actor.
6 Weeks Rest and Structured Rehabilitation Ahead
To ensure the tendon heals properly without long-term complications, doctors have advised Rashmika to undergo six weeks of complete bed rest.
Her medical team has outlined a recovery roadmap that includes:
- Strict Bed Rest: 6 weeks of zero strain on the hip joint.
- Structured Rehabilitation: A customized physical therapy and rehab program following the resting period.
- Return to Sets: She will resume shooting only after gaining full clearance from her medical team.
Fans and colleagues across the film industry have flooded social media with get-well-soon messages, wishing the Animal and Pushpa star a speedy recovery.
