Super Star Rajinikanth responded to a reporter’s question about the “controversy” surrounding his recent visit to Lucknow where he touched the feet of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Last few days, the internet was buzzing with criticism towards the legendary Rajinikanth for his respectful gesture towards the UP CM Yogi Adityanath. The superstar greeted the Chief Minister with a traditional namaste and then humbly touched his feet, a gesture that many trolls found unacceptable. However, Rajinikanth, being the epitome of grace and humility, has now spoken up about the incident. 

As he arrived in Chennai after a few days of travel, Rajinikanth took a moment to address the media. When asked about the controversy surrounding his gesture, the actor explained that he did it out of pure respect. He went on to say that it is his custom to seek blessings from Yogis or Sanyasis, regardless of their age. He clarified that his intention was solely to show reverence and nothing else.

According to the news agency PTI, the superstar was all smiles as he thanked his supporters for their unwavering love and support. When quizzed about his political aspirations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rajinikanth played it cool and said he wasn’t interested in discussing politics. 

But that’s not all! During his recent visit to Uttar Pradesh, Rajinikanth organized a special screening of Jailer. And guess who showed up? None other than the UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya! The news didn’t stop there as the superstar also paid a visit to Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav at his residence.
