Pakistan Warns of Possible India–Pakistan War; Claims Full Vigilance

Islamabad: Pakistan has warned that there is a possibility of a war breaking out between India and Pakistan, stating that the country is on full alert. Pakistan “cannot ignore India” and is closely monitoring the situation, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said on Wednesday.

Pakistan is “fully prepared and vigilant” to face any form of attack from India, Asif added. He further alleged that India could launch strikes even from Afghan territory, which could escalate into a full-scale war.

The minister’s remarks came just hours after Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi commented that the recent developments were only a “long trailer,” a statement that drew considerable media attention.
