Kochi: In a startling observation, the Kerala High Court has expressed strong suspicions regarding a “massive loot” of gold at the Sabarimala temple. The Court observed that the gold plates returned to the shrine after maintenance work might not be the original ones, a suspicion that has been reportedly strengthened by an inspection report from the VSSC.
The High Court has ordered a detailed investigation into the matter, specifically calling for a probe into the Ashtadikpalaka idols. While expressing satisfaction with the current progress of the investigation, the Court directed that the probe be widened. Consequently, two more officers have been added to the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
