NEW DELHI: Following the cancellation of the earlier test over alleged paper leaks and examination irregularities, the National Testing Agency (NTA), with the approval of the Central Government, has scheduled the NEET UG 2026 re-examination for Sunday, June 21, 2026.
Candidates and parents are requested to trust only the official communication channels of the NTA for updates related to the medical entrance examination. For students seeking clarification regarding the re-test process, the agency has provided the following official helpline details:
- Email: [email protected]
- Helpline Numbers: 011-40759000 / 011-69227700
The original NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted on May 3. However, it was later cancelled after investigative agencies flagged serious concerns regarding the integrity of the testing process. The controversy intensified after reports claimed that several questions in the examination allegedly matched content circulating in leaked PDFs prior to the exam.
The unexpected cancellation had left lakhs of medical aspirants uncertain about their admissions, counselling schedules, and preparation timelines. With students repeatedly demanding clarity, the confirmation of the June 21 re-exam date comes as a major relief.
The NTA has also clarified that candidates will not have to submit fresh application forms or pay any additional examination fees for the re-test. Existing registrations, previously submitted forms, and examination city preferences will remain completely valid. New admit cards, city intimation slips, and revised reporting instructions are expected to be released closer to the examination date.
