Kochi: In a major relief to her family and local authorities, the 14-year-old girl who went missing from Karimugal three days ago has been found safe. She was located by the police near the Ernakulam North Railway Station.
The teenager had left her home on the night of April 28th around 10:30 PM. CCTV footage from the Karimugal junction had previously captured her walking away carrying a bag. Preliminary reports suggest that the girl left home following a minor disagreement with her family regarding the use of her mobile phone.
Following a rigorous search operation, the police tracked her down to the railway station premises. Authorities are currently looking into where she stayed during the three days she was missing.
The girl will be produced before the court, after which she will be reunited with her relatives. Officials also noted that she will be provided with necessary counseling. The successful conclusion of the search has brought an end to three days of deep anxiety for her family and the local community.
