Ernakulam: Ending a hiatus of over three decades, the legendary duo of Malayalam cinema—director Adoor Gopalakrishnan and megastar Mammootty—have joined forces once again. Filming for their highly anticipated movie, titled ‘Padayatra’, officially commenced today in Ernakulam.
Adding to the excitement, it has been confirmed that actress Grace Antony will play a pivotal role in the film.
A Historic Collaboration
This project marks the reunion of one of the most celebrated actor-director combinations in Indian cinema history. The two have previously collaborated on iconic classics such as Mathilukal, Anantaram, and Vidheyan. This will be the 8th production under the banner of Mammootty Company.

According to reports, ‘Padayatra’ is based on the literary masterpiece Randidangazhi by Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai. The screenplay and dialogues are co-written by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and K.V. Mohankumar.
