New Delhi: Former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been convicted in the Unnao rape case, said Delhi Court. The court imposed him under the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act. However, another accused in the case, Shashi Singh, was acquitted by the court. The court will pronounce the sentence on Wednesday. This is a crime that can carry a life sentence. In 2017, a minor was abducted and raped, the case in point. In the case following the incident Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh had been expelled from the party in August 2019.
