Thiruvananthapuram: The Department of Motor Vehicles has said that affixing stickers on vision glasses is illegal. These stickers are called cooling films.
Such films should be identified as illegal and steps should be taken to remove them as soon as possible. In a note on MVD’s Facebook page, he said that the cooling film was something that the Supreme Court itself had strictly banned in the name of social security, especially for the safety of women and children.
The windows of the new generation vehicles are designed to withstand a variety of accidents. They are designed with the driver’s vision in mind to reduce road accidents. The note also states that the front glass in the new generation vehicles will be laminated and the side and rear glasses will be toughened.
