Malappuram: The driving license of a teacher from MSP School has been suspended for three months after her vehicle accidentally hit a student on the school grounds, causing fractures in the student’s leg.
The action was taken by the Malappuram Regional Transport Officer. The teacher, identified as Beegath, will undergo a five-day driving training at the Edappal Institute of Driving Training and Research (IDTR).
The incident occurred on June 17. Initially, school authorities claimed that the student was injured due to a collapsing wall, but students alleged a delay in hospital care and attempts by the teacher to suppress the incident, which led to student protests. Following a complaint by the student’s family, the police registered a case and the RTO initiated further action.
