Silverline not allowed;  Central Government in the High Court

Kochi: The Central government has repeatedly told the high court that the Silver Line project has not been sanctioned.  The Center has given in-principle approval only for the initial activities of the project.

The DPR transmitted by K-Rail is incomplete.  The technical details of the project were not in the DPR.  The Central Government informed the High Court that it has been asked to hand over these.

The Center has responded to various petitions against the Silverline Survey.  The social impact study for Silverline has not been approved.

The Center also said that it had not asked the government to install stakes in the name of the survey.  The Union Finance Ministry also told the court that it had not given financial approval for the Silverline project.
