Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has started the distribution of special Onam kits. Food Minister GR Anil officially inaugurated the event by handing over the first kit at a function in Thiruvananthapuram. Distributed to yellow cardholders from today.
The kit contains 1 kg of sugar, 500 g of coconut oil, 100 g tea, 500 gm of a pea, 1 kg salt,250 gm dal, 100 g of Chilli/chili powder, 1 kg of turmeric, 100 g of semia 150 g / 180 g of ghee, 50 g of cashew nut, 20 g of cardamom, chips, 1 kg of atta and 1 bath soap.
