Palakkad: In light of the Nipah virus outbreak, authorities have made wearing masks mandatory in Mannarkkad taluk of Palakkad. Government employees in containment zones have been allowed to work from home, and those unable to do so will be granted special leave.
Online classes will be arranged for schools and colleges within the containment zones, as well as for students from these zones attending institutions outside the area.
