Nilambur Municipal Corporation is recognized by UNESCO

Nilambur: Nilambur Municipal Corporation has been recognized by UNESCO. Nilambur city is included in UNESCO’s list of learning cities.
GNLC accepted the recommendation given by the central government in this regard. Thrissur from Kerala and Warangal in Telangana are also included in the list. This is the first time that Indian cities have made it to this list.

There are 294 small and big cities in the world in this list. 77 cities in 44 countries have been newly added to the list. Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Yambu, Doha, Aldayal, Alyaran and Industrial City is also included in the new list from Arab countries. Through this, mutual cooperation between different countries is possible.
