Thiruvananthapuram: CPIM state secretary MV Govindan Master filed a defamation case against the Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case. The demand is to file a case under IPC sections 120B and 500. The court accepted the complaint on file.
Govindan Master’s Advocate has sent a notice to Swapna Suresh asking to apologize for the remarks in March. The demand in the notice was to withdraw the allegations made by Swapna and apologize through the media. Govindan Master also informed that if she does not apologize, action will be taken under civil and criminal law.
