Mpox; The health minister issued a warning to the state

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has asked the state to be vigilant in the event that mpox has been reported in some countries. Those arriving from countries where the disease has been reported should report any symptoms at the airport. The state had issued a standard operating procedure in case of confirmation of mpox in 2022. Appropriate isolation, sample collection and treatment were ensured. The minister said that all government and private hospitals should strictly follow this SOP if anyone comes with mpox symptoms.
