Maoist presence again in Wayanad

Wayanad : Maoist presence again in Wayanad. A group of four armed Maoists reached Arimala Colony in Tondarnad Panchayat of Wayanad and distributed pamphlets of their ideology. The team reached the house of Sasi, a forest department watcher in the colony, around 9 pm. The Maoists who took Sasi’s mobile phone and went to the forest converted their ideological propaganda leaflets into PDF and shared them with various groups on Sasi’s phone. The gang threatened them not to divulge their presence and took away some groceries from the house on their way back. Meanwhile, there are indications that the three members of the Maoist group are Unnimaya, Chandru and Sundari. The pamphlet in the name of CPI-Maoist Banasura Area Committee said that the appointment of new beet forest officer of the forest department should be canceled and a new notification should be issued. The pamphlets say that the poor tribals should not be cheated and that people and tribals should fight against the fraud of the government and government officials.
