KSRTC Gramavandi service started

KSRTC Gramavandi

Thiruvananthapuram:  KSRTC Gramavandi service started. KSRTC has implemented the Gramavandi in collaboration with local bodies. Gram Panchayat-sponsored Gramavandi was launched for the first time in Kolla, Parassala in the Thiruvananthapuram district.
Manchavilakam, Ambalam, Kodumkara, Panayamula via Dhanuvachapuram. This is the route of gramavandi of gram panchayat in Kolla. KSRTC’s Gramavandi service is focused on areas with fewer public transport facilities, rural areas, and socially backward areas. In Kolla, Minister MV Govindan inaugurated the state level of the master project through Gramavandi sponsored by the Gram Panchayat.
Services that do not generate income even for the cost of fuel to the interior areas are being converted into gramavandi services. The local bodies will ensure diesel, staff accommodation, and parking security for the buses running this service. KSRTC will bear the cost of the vehicle, staff salaries, maintenance, spare parts, and insurance. Gramavandi services will start in Malappuram, Thrissur, and Alappuzha in August.
