Koodathai Case

Kochi:  The results of the forensic examination of the Koodathai murder series have come out. The presence of cyanide was not detected in the remains of the deceased Annamma Thomas, Tom Thomas, Manjadiyl Mathew, and Alfine. The prosecution received the test results from the National Forensic Lab, Hyderabad. The inspection was done with the permission of the court. Previous tests on the remains of these four men had not found traces of cyanide. Then again with the permission of the court, it was sent to the central forensic lab.

They were killed in the period from 2002 to 2014. In 2019, their remains were taken out and sent for examination. The prosecution case is that Jolly, the first accused, killed Annamma Thomas by using dog kill poison and three others by giving cyanide. The presence of cyanide in the bodies of Roy Thomas and Seeley was confirmed earlier. The Special Additional Sessions Court at Eranhipalam is hearing the case of Koothtai murder. The trial in the Roy Thomas case will begin next month.
