Kochi: The investigation team has filed a charge sheet in the case of former Miss Kerala and others who died in a car accident in Kochi. The chargesheet was filed against eight persons, including hotel owner Roy Vayalattu and Saiju Thankachan, number 18 in the case. According to the chargesheet, Saiju Thankachan was chased by a speeding car. According to the chargesheet, Saiju had chased the girls with malicious intent. On the morning of November 1, 2021, a car carrying four people including models met with an accident at Chakkarapparam, Palarivattom. Apart from Abdul Rahman, who was driving the car, three others were killed in the accident. The accident happened on the way to Thrissur after attending a party at a hotel in Fort Kochi. According to the chargesheet, Saiju Thankachan was speeding in his Audi car. The first accused in the case is Abdul Rahman, a driver of a model who was driving under the influence of alcohol. Saiju and Roy, who forced the models to stay at the hotel with malicious intent, have been charged with various offenses, including attempting to insult a woman. A case was also registered against the hotel staff for destroying evidence on the instructions of DVR Roy, who had CCTV footage of the hotel, abandoned on the lake. The chargesheet was filed four months after the incident by a team led by Crime Branch ACP BG George.
