IB Officer Death Case: Accused Surrenders

Kochi: Sukant Suresh, the accused in the death case of an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer, has surrendered at Ernakulam Central Police Station after his anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the High Court.

The court noted that the accused had multiple relationships and exploited the woman both financially and mentally. The deceased, who was Sukant’s colleague, was found dead near railway tracks in Pettah, Thiruvananthapuram, on March 24. Police stated that he drove the woman to suicide, supported by chat evidence. The court also called for an investigation into case diary leaks to the media.
