Thiruvananthapuram: Government theaters are gearing up to resume cinema screenings. The film will be screened on a trial basis at the Nishagandhi Auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram from Sunday.The screening will be at 6.30 pm on a specially prepared screen. The 3D movie is first screened by My dear Kuttichathan. Spectacles will also be provided to watch 3D movies. Admission to Nishagandhi is limited to 200 people. The ticket price is Rs 100. Kairali Sree and other theaters will open after the trial in Nishagandhi.In the first phase, parallel films produced with government subsidy will be screened. Government theaters are reopening with Covid protocols amid continuing uncertainty over the opening of private cinema theaters.
