Thiruvananthapuram: State government employees and teachers will go on strike on 22nd. The strike has been called by the joint employees’ organizations of the opposition organization State Employees and Teachers Organization (SETO) and the ruling party CPI’s organization Joint Council. The strike was led by the government’s stance of withholding benefits such as famine allowance, salary revision, leave surrender, salary revision arrears, and the announced 78 months of DA arrears.
The strike is also a witness to the political curiosity that the Congress and the CPI are going on strike against the government on the same day.
