Kozhikode: Another gold hunt at Karipur International Airport. Gold worth Rs 40 lakh seized. The gold was seized from Ibrahim Sharif, a native of Velimanna. Officers of the Kozhikode Customs Preventive Unit seized 800 grams of gold brought from Dubai. The gold was in the form of a pill that was hidden in a private part of the body.
He arrived on a SpiceJet flight from Dubai on Saturday night. He was caught by the customs while trying to exit through the Green Channel. The gold was won by a team led by Kozhikode Customs Preventive Section Deputy Commissioner TA Kiran.
