Bangalore: The son of CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will be questioned by the Bengaluru Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday in a drug case. Bineesh has been asked to appear for questioning based on the statement of Malayalee Mohammad Anoop, who was arrested in a drug case.
He was directed to appear at the ED office in Shantinagar, Bangalore on the sixth day. Bineesh has been arrested in connection with a money transaction with Anoop. Anoop had revealed that Bineesh had paid him to run a hotel business. This was confirmed by Bineesh. Bineesh responded that Anoop was a friend and did not know about drug dealing. Anoop was questioned last week. The interrogation took place at Parappana Agrahara Jail with the permission of the court. Following this, Bineesh Kodiyeri was also asked to appear for questioning.
Bineesh was questioned by the ED in Kochi on September 9 in connection with a gold smuggling case.
