Thiruvananthapuram: Driving schools that were closed for months due to lockdown will be reopened from today. Driving schools are subject to strict restrictions. There will also be RTO monitoring at all centers.
Only those who have obtained a driver’s license before the lockdown begins or have failed a driving test once will have the opportunity to take the driving test until October 15. Others will be given the opportunity after that. The online method for leaner’ tests will continue. Only two people are allowed in the vehicle at a time. The teacher should only train one student at a time. Teachers should be trained to follow COVID safety precautions. The vehicle should be disinfected after a student disembarks after training.
Also, students from the cantonment zones, those over the age of 65, and those with other ailments will not be admitted to driving schools.
