Thiruvananthapuram: Minister A K Balan’s discussion with PSC candidates protesting in front of the Secretariat was a success. The government said it would look into the demands put forward by Rank Holders and take action. Candidates said the strike was called off following assurances given to LGS rank holders. Net Watchman agreed to the demand. Vacancies will be accurately reported.
Thera as the Elections Model Code of Conduct exists, representatives of the candidates responded that the Minister had assured them that the requirements would be implemented after consultation with the Commission.
The Minister assured that the working hours of the post of Night Watchman would be adjusted to eight hours and more opportunities would be created. It was decided in the discussion that these vacancies will be filled from the existing rank list. The candidates thanked the organizations and media persons who supported them.
