Hundreds of workers who went on the bus without a pass yesterday were detained at the border and sent back.
Officials say an e-pass is mandatory for everyone to enter Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu officials say that those who are not will not be trafficked to Tamil Nadu for any reason. Tamil Nadu buses have also been directed not to carry passengers from Kerala who does not take the e-pass. According to the authorities, the e-pass has been made mandatory due to the spread of Covid in Kerala.
