Thiruvananthapuram: The Lokayukta Full Bench will consider the case of misuse of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on the 12th of this month. The full bench comprises Justice Cyriak Joseph, Deputy Commissioner Justice Haroon Al Rasheed, and Babu Mathew P Joseph. The full bench will examine whether the Lokayukta can entertain the case.
Earlier, a two-member bench had a difference of opinion in the case, so it was decided to leave it to the full bench. Although the case was completed earlier, the judgment took almost a year. The Lokayukta has taken the case in cases where the amount from the relief fund was diverted and spent. The case was against the education expenses of NCP leader Uzhavoor Vijayan’s children and the allocation of money from the relief fund to the son of late Chengannur MLA Ramachandran Nair.
