Another 154 Malayalee students were repatriated

Thiruvananthapuram: Another 154 Malayalee students have returned to the country from Ukraine. Since the launch of ‘Operation Ganga’, a total of 398 Malayalee students have returned home.
The state government had arranged a special chartered flight to speed up their journey to Kerala as more students arrive as the rescue mission progresses.  The flight was carrying 36 students who arrived in Delhi on Tuesday night and were resting at Kerala House and 134 students who arrived in the morning. Special buses have been arranged from Nedumbassery to Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram under the leadership of NORKA to take students home.
Of those who arrived in Delhi, seven were sent to Kochi on an Indigo flight at 6.55, and two were sent to Kannur on an Indigo flight at 6.55. Five people will be sent on an Air Asia flight at 8.10 and five on an Indigo flight at 10.45 to Thiruvananthapuram. Of these, 395 have so far been repatriated from Delhi and Mumbai. Three are from outside Kerala. Of these, one is based in Delhi and the other in Mumbai. One returned to his parents in Abu Dhabi from Delhi.
Four more aircraft, including an Indian Air Force flight from Bucharest, are arriving in Delhi today. Eight flights will be operated tomorrow from Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia to Delhi and Mumbai. Arrangements are in place at the airport to expedite the arrival of all Malayalee students arriving on these flights to Kerala.
