Thiruvananthapuram: Rain continues to be strong in the state. The red alert has been issued in Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts. The Meteorological Department said that there is a risk of heavy showers in these districts. At least 59 people have died in the state within two days. Ten deaths were reported in Malappuram and Kozhikode districts and nine in Wayanad.
