Thiruvananthapuram: Seven persons, including her husband, have been arrested in connection with the gang-rape case of a woman. A case has been registered by the Kadinamkulam police. POCSO will also sue the defendants for assaulting the woman’s 5-year-old son. The Vanitha Commission has taken up the case voluntarily.
The arrest was made only after the victim’s statement. Police said they are investigating the role of the detainees and are yet to find one.
The woman lived in her husband’s home. At about 4 pm on Thursday, her husband drove the woman to a house in Puthukurichi. There, the husband and his friends were drinking. The girl was also raped after drinking alcohol.
The woman run out of the house. Strangers were passing in a vehicle rushed the woman to a local hospital.
