The political suspense that gripped Tamil Nadu for the past four days has finally ended. C. Joseph Vijay, President of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), is officially set to be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The landmark ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 3:15 PM at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
The breakthrough came late Saturday evening after Governor RV Arlekar accepted Vijay’s claim to form the government, following the submission of formal letters of support from a coalition of parties.
