Chennai: Police have taken into custody a woman who is suspected of having a link with a Malayalee in the Lashkar group. News reports that a woman has been taken into custody amid terror threats in the southern states. Investigations and interrogations are under the supervision of central agencies.

The Central Intelligence Agency had last week warned that six Lashkar-e-Taiba militants had infiltrated Tamil Nadu from Sri Lanka and settled in Coimbatore. According to reports, the carrier is Abdul Qadar Raheem from Madavana, Thrissur. The woman is believed to have had a link with the man. Police did not release further information. They have been taken into custody, but no arrests have been made.

After six Lashkar-e-Taiba militants infiltrated Tamil Nadu, the police sought help from Navy and air forces. Coimbatore Police Commissioner Sumit Saranan said that the message has been handed over to the Army to prepare for emergencies. Tamil Nadu police said that a Pakistani citizen and five Sri Lankan nationals arrived.

At present, security has been strengthened at railway stations, bus stands and airports. 8,000 police personnel have been deployed in eight districts of Tamil Nadu’s western region. A red alert was issued after warning in the city including Chennai. Vigilance has also been issued in Kerala’s territories bordering Tamil Nadu.

DGP Loknath Behra directed district police chiefs to be vigilant in bus stands, railway stations, airports and other places where crowds gather. Any suspicious circumstances or items should be reported to the Control Room on 112 or the DGP’s control room (phone: 0471 2722500).

Initial warnings were made about the possibility of a major terror attack in Chennai and Coimbatore. The alert has been issued in Kerala too after reports of terrorists have arrived.

The Tamil Nadu Q Branch questioned 10 people at Muthupettu in Thiruvarul after receiving intelligence information. There are also reports that two people have been taken into custody. They were taken into custody on suspicion of aiding the terrorists.

The arrested are from Coimbatore, Chennai, Ramanathapuram, Theni, Madurai, and Tirunelveli. This, too, led to a declaration of extreme caution. In the meantime, the mystery about the Malayalees who helped the Lashkar-e-Taiba militants continue. He is said to be a native of Thrissur. Police and the police have provided photographs and passport details, but DGP JK. Drupati came to the fore.

Police are also investigating whether any of the terrorists had arrived at the scene. A paramilitary force is preparing to be deployed in the area.

Meanwhile, investigators have arrived at the flat where the terrorists are believed to be staying. The investigation is still underway with some of the documents recovered. According to intelligence reports, the terrorist attacks are expected to take place between August 28 and September 8. Security has been tightened in Delhi as part of vigilance.

According to intelligence reports, six Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, including a Pakistani and five Sri Lankan Tamils, have arrived in Coimbatore to plan an attack during the Velankanni festival. According to reports, a group of Sri Lankan pilgrims arrived in Coimbatore by boat on August 21. According to intelligence reports, the group was brought by a Malayalee from Thrissur.

ADGP Jayant Murali is coordinating security arrangements in Tamil Nadu. All the vehicles coming into and out of the city are destroyed. Apart from the main roads, the roads are under police control. Around 2000 policemen have been deployed in the city limits.
