THRISSUR, KERALA — The Guruvayur Devaswom has officially launched its virtual queue darshan system at the famous Sree Krishna Temple in Guruvayur. The new initiative aims to streamline crowd control, reduce waiting hours, and offer a comfortable pilgrimage experience for thousands of visiting devotees.
The trial system was inaugurated at 6:30 AM near the Bhagavathy Temple entrance at the East Nada by Guruvayur Devaswom Chairman A.V. Gopinath. Following a quick identity check, K. Raghunathan Pillai became the first devotee to enter the temple through the newly established queue.
Despite morning rain across Thrissur, over 100 pilgrims availed of the facility within the first hour (7:00 AM – 8:00 AM). Official temple statistics show that over 1,800 devotees booked virtual queue slots on the opening day alone.
