Popular Malayalam actress and television host Meenakshi Raveendran has taken social media by storm after posting a video where she appeared to be heartbroken over a breakup.
In the video, Meenakshi is seen crying intensely, claiming that she and her boyfriend had ended their relationship due to religious differences. She captioned the post, “Alexa, play ‘Devi’ from Njan Gandharvan… anyway, I am a believer,” which led many fans to believe she was going through a genuine personal crisis.
As soon as the video went viral, worried fans flooded the comment section with messages of support and consolation. However, the actress soon revealed the “twist” in the comment section to clear up the confusion.
“Calm down everyone! This is just a funny video. Nothing serious happened. Thank you for all the concerns. I did this crying video just for fun. Acting, acting!” Meenakshi clarified.
Following her clarification, the comment section shifted from sympathy to humor. Some fans praised her acting skills, saying she should have won an award for such a convincing performance, while others joked, “God doesn’t cry, He only makes others cry; stop it, girl!” and “You really have a talent for crying looking at a phone!”
