New Delhi: Congress MPs have protested after both houses of parliament rejected a demand for adjournment of the Delhi riots. They protested in front of the statue of Gandhi, outside Parliament, led by party leader Rahul Gandhi and Adir Ranjan Chaudhary. The MPs protested raised slogan, ‘Amit Shah resign’ and ‘Save India’.
Shashi Tharoor MP said the Congress was demanding that the Delhi riots be stopped and the Home Minister Amit Shah resigned. Tharoor added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should respond in this regard.
Earlier, Trinamool Congress MPs had protested in Delhi in the wake of riots.
