Thiruvananthapuram: The body of Father KG Varghese, affected with COVID, was cremated. The funeral took place in the cemetery on the top of the hill of St. Thomas.
Residents, including women, protested today, demanding that the body be cremated. Protesters alleged that there was a drinking water problem. However, MLA VK Prashant and Mayor K Sreekumar said that the body would be cremated at the spot which decided earlier.
