Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) has officially announced a temporary closure of all state-run liquor outlets, retail shops, and warehouses across Kerala on August 26 (Wednesday) and August 28 (Friday), 2026.
Kerala BEVCO Onam Holidays & Closure Dates
- August 26, 2026 (Wednesday): Closed on account of Thiruvonam, the primary day of Kerala’s flagship Onam festival.
- August 28, 2026 (Friday): Closed in observance of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanthi, honoring the birth anniversary of the renowned social reformer.
All retail BEVCO counters and Consumerfed liquor outlets will remain non-operational on these two dates. Regular sales and normal business operations will resume on Thursday, August 27, and Saturday, August 29, respectively. Consumers are advised to plan their purchases ahead of the holiday closures.
