New Delhi: The Central Government has issued a notification mandating the procedure for the inclusion of valid mobile numbers in the insurance certificate.
The Ministry of Road Transport said in a press release that procedures for detailed investigation of road accidents should be carried out along with the detailed accident report (DAR) and its reporting and timelines for the various parties to expedite the settlement of claims.
The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) has made it mandatory to include a valid mobile number in the insurance certificate.
