Lucknow: Several states announced night curfew in the wake of omicron widening in the country. Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra announced night curfew to curb the widening of the epidemic. The curfew is from December 25. Restrictions are from eleven to five at night. The states have announced more precautionary measures, including not allowing more than 200 people to attend weddings. The central government had directed the government to take precautionary measures as the Omicron threat persisted. This is followed by action.
The Allahabad High Court had yesterday ordered a halt to rallies of political parties in the state.
