Omicron confirmed five more: Minister Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has said that Omicron has been confirmed for 5 more people in the state. Omicron confirmed this to 4 people who arrived at Ernakulam airport and one person from Kozhikode. Two people from the UK (28, 24), one from Albania (35), and one from Pathanamthitta (40) from Nigeria were diagnosed with the disease in Ernakulam. The 28-year-old hails from Kottayam and came to Ernakulam from the UK. Kozhikode native (21) arrived in Kozhikode from Bangalore Airport. A total of 29 people in the state have so far been confirmed by Omicron. 17 are from high-risk countries and 10 are from low-risk countries. Omicron was infected through contact with two people.
