Kochi: The High Court has quashed the lower court’s order setting a time limit for anticipatory bail in the ISRO scam case. The CBI court had granted 60 days of anticipatory bail in the case. The High Court allowed the plea of Siby Mathews challenging the order. The High Court had sought an explanation from the CBI in the petition. Thiruvananthapuram Sessions Court granted anticipatory bail to Siby Mathews for 60 days.
Former DGP Siby Mathews is the fourth accused in a CBI case alleging conspiracy to fabricate a case. Siby Mathews was a member of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the ISRO scam. However, Siby Mathews had alleged that hatred against him was behind the case.
