Chinese village in Arunachal Pradesh; U.S. report confirms invasion

Chinese village

New Delhi: The United States has revealed details of China’s incursions into Arunachal Pradesh. According to a report submitted to the US Congress, China has built a village of 100 houses in Arunachal Pradesh within the Indian border.

According to the report, China has been intensifying incursions into the border region despite holding military and diplomatic talks with India.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has not denied this. Foreign Ministry sources said that China has reportedly been carrying out construction work in areas bordering India, which China has been pursuing for several years. The ministry said the central government was continuing to build roads and bridges along the border.

In January, a national media outlet reported that China had built a new village of 101 houses in Arunachal Pradesh with the help of satellite images. It is reported that the Chinese construction is within 4.5 km of the Indian border. Satellite imagery shows that China built a village on the banks of the Sari Chu River in the Upper Subansiri District.
