New Delhi: Emirates Airlines has announced that it will not operate flights from India to the UAE until July 15. Transit passengers traveling via India for the past 14 days will not be allowed onboard flights to the UAE, according to the Emirates website.
Earlier, Emirates officials said they would not operate services from India to the UAE until further notice. This is what has now been clarified. Meanwhile, Etihad and Air India have announced that they will not be operating flights from India to the UAE until July 21.
The UAE has also banned its citizens from traveling to India. The UAE has imposed a travel ban on travelers from India from April 25 in the wake of the covid outbreak. Many of those who are unable to return to work due to delays in air services are fearful of losing their jobs.
