New Delhi: Allegations of corruption in the Rafale warplane deal are reportedly being investigated in France.
According to the French media, an investigation led by a special judge has been launched since June 14 into allegations that the warplane deal was overpriced. It will check in detail whether any illegal transactions have taken place. The move comes on the heels of a complaint by French NGO Sherpa. The allegations stem from India’s purchase of 37 warplanes for Rs 56,000 crore.
