New Delhi: The 43rd GST Council meeting in the country has begun. The meeting will also discuss tax cuts on Covid drugs, vaccines, and Covid treatment equipment. Meanwhile, seven non-BJP states had joined the meeting ahead of the meeting. The meeting was attended by Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The Center owes Rs 2.69 lakh crore in GST compensation to some states in the 2021-22 financial year.
