CM says free food kits will be distributed for lockdown

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that there will be a lockdown in the state from today. Covid disease has not been reduced by the restrictions imposed in the state. The number of people undergoing treatment has crossed four lakh. When the number of patients does not decrease, the number of deaths increases. The CM said that the lockdown has been announced to avoid such a situation.

The government will distribute free kits during the lockdown. Kits will also be distributed to out-of-state workers. The CM also demanded that the banks should operate on alternate days and avoid collecting money at home during lockdowns. Workshops are allowed only on Saturdays and Sundays.
