Actor Prabhas has adopted Khasipally Urban Forest in Hyderabad. Prabhas has contributed Rs 2 crore for the comprehensive development of the forest. He has been adopted the forest as part of the Green Challenge led by TRS Rajya Sabha MP J.Santosh.
Telangana Forest Minister Alola Indra Karan Reddy and J.P. Santosh Kumar MP and Prabhas also laid the foundation stone of the Urban Forest Park. The park is named after Prabhas’ father UVS Raju.
Also, saplings were planted in the reserve forest area. A small part of the forest is being converted into an urban forest park. The remaining area will remain a protected area.
