New Delhi: The first lunar eclipse of 2020 is today. This is known as the penumbral lunar eclipse or the Wolf Moon Eclipse. This is the first full lunar eclipse this year. The Earth travels between the Sun and the Moon during the eclipse. Earth will be in the dark at that time. During the Wolf Moon Eclipse, the Moon will travel through the shadows outside the Earth’s orbit. That time will be in complete darkness. The earth will be hidden from the sunlight by the moon this time. One of the four lunar eclipses visible this year.

 In today’s eclipse, most of the moon is in the shadow of the earth. This time around the moon will be only a small shadow. Indian time will be visible from 10.37 tonight. It will be visible until 2.42 am. The duration is four hours and five minutes. The lunar eclipse can be viewed without any special equipment. Scientists say the eclipse will be visible to the sky. The lunar eclipse will be seen in Asia, Australia, Africa, Europe, North America, South America, the Pacific, the Indian Ocean, the Atlantic, and the Arctic.
